Overview
We are seeking a skilled System Administrator to join our IT team at Rudytech. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. This role ensures the availability, performance, security, and scalability of systems to meet the needs of our growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
System Management:
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and hardware.
Manage server infrastructure, including virtual machines and cloud services.
Monitor system performance to ensure reliability and availability.
Security and Compliance:
Implement and manage security measures to protect systems and data.
Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
Troubleshooting and Support:
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system issues.
Provide technical support to staff and end-users, tracking issues through a ticketing system.
Backup and Recovery:
Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures, ensuring data integrity.
Perform regular backups and test recovery processes.
Network Administration:
Manage network services, including DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall configurations.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Automation and Scripting:
Create and maintain scripts for system automation and efficiency.
Use automation tools to streamline processes.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations and procedures.
Generate reports on system performance, security status, and other metrics.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience: Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role. Familiarity with operating systems like Windows, Linux, and macOS, and hands-on experience with virtualization and cloud platforms (e.g., VMware, AWS, Azure).
Certifications: Preferred certifications include CompTIA Server+, MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent.
Skills:
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
Experience with network management and monitoring tools.
